Lecanu F1 cabbage is an early hybrid developed by the Dutch company Syngenta Seeds. This variety is characterized by strong growth and vigorous development, ensuring uniform formation of dense heads weighing 2 to 3 kg. Heads have a round shape and dazzling white color, while broad vertical leaves tightly adhere to the ribs, fully protecting them from sunlight. Due to simultaneous maturation, the harvest can be collected in one go, which is especially convenient for industrial cultivation and processing.
The maturation period of Lecanu F1 cabbage is 70-75 days, allowing it to be grown in open ground or under temporary covers from April to the end of June. This approach enables conveyor-style planting and harvesting twice per season — in summer and autumn, from late June to early October. The hybrid is resistant to temperature fluctuations and drought, and is not susceptible to complex infectious diseases of crucifers, reducing requirements for watering and care. During seedling transplanting, watering is recommended 3-4 times per week, then once per week, and fertilization is carried out 2-3 times depending on soil type.
Lecanu F1 is suitable for cultivation on plots previously occupied by potatoes, tomatoes, legumes, peppers, onions, or carrots. This hybrid is versatile in application: it is used for fresh marketing, industrial processing, and freezing. High yield, good self-covering, and uniform head formation make Lecanu F1 an excellent choice for both farmers and large agricultural enterprises.
