Cabbage GREEN GRAPES

Key features of 'Zelenaya Grozd' leaf cabbage

The 'Zelenaya Grozd' variety from Agrofirma Poisk is an excellent choice for those seeking diversity in their vegetable portfolio. Classified as leaf cabbage, it differs significantly from traditional heading hybrids. The plant is specifically geared towards the fresh market, where its unique aesthetics and high nutritional value are highly prized.

Maturity and flexibility

The flexibility of its growth cycle is the variety's main competitive advantage. Depending on growing conditions and harvest goals, the time from transplanting to technical maturity varies:

• 60–70 days: Perfect for harvesting young, tender greens, ideal for salads and culinary garnishes.
• 100–110 days: Ideal for forming full-sized heads/clusters, with weights ranging from compact 0.5 kg to 1.0 kg.

It is worth noting that the crop can also be harvested at earlier, miniature stages (0 to 0.1 kg), allowing farmers to tailor their production to specific market demands and price points.

Strengths and applications

The standout characteristic of 'Zelenaya Grozd' is its distinctive yellow-green hue and rosette-like shape. Unlike standard white cabbage, this variety is less sensitive to planting density and fits perfectly into the HoReCa segment supply chain. It resists coarsening longer than conventional varieties, ensuring an extended shelf life and maintained visual appeal.

Who is this variety for? Primarily for commercial growers and professionals catering to the restaurant industry. If your target audience includes health-conscious consumers or chefs looking for visually appealing, high-quality ingredients, 'Zelenaya Grozd' will prove to be a valuable addition to your product range.
