Cabbage Beta

Reliable early yield: working with Beta cabbage by Moravoseed

In the early vegetable market, timing is everything. The «Beta» white cabbage hybrid from the Czech breeder Moravoseed is a tool for growers who value precision and predictability. With a maturity window of 50–60 days after transplanting, it allows for a highly efficient start to the season.

Field performance and management

Beta produces uniform, round heads that fit perfectly into the 2.0–3.0 kg range, which is the “sweet spot” for direct retail and fresh market demand. The head density is sufficient to withstand handling during harvest and transport without sacrificing the visual appeal that customers look for in early-season produce.

• Uniformity: One of the main advantages of Moravoseed genetics here is the synchronized ripening, which simplifies the harvest process for the farm operator.
• Growth dynamics: The plant is responsive to consistent irrigation. Given its short cycle, maintaining soil moisture is the primary factor in ensuring maximum head weight.
• Marketability: The attractive, round shape and clean presentation make this an easy sell for anyone operating on the fresh market circuit.

For the grower, Beta represents a low-maintenance, high-efficiency crop. It doesn't require overly complex agronomic interventions; rather, it performs best when provided with stable conditions during the rapid leaf-filling stage. If you are looking for a reliable, professional-grade variety that delivers exactly what it promises on the label, this Czech-bred hybrid is a solid, proven choice for your field rotation.
