Description Fakel
Lotus «FAKEL» – a perennial legume crop of spring type (Lotus corniculatus L.), developed by the Bashkir Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture. The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness, drought tolerance, and trampling resistance, making it an ideal choice for pastures and fodder lands on eroded and low-fertility soils. In the non-flowering stage, it is grazed by animals, and from the beginning of flowering, it serves as a hay crop, providing livestock with high protein and vitamin C content.

The «FAKEL» crop features a powerful root system and a dense lace-like cover that maintains productivity for up to 10 years. When sown in early spring using broadcast methods at a rate of 8 kg/ha, the plant achieves high yields: application of phosphorus-potassium fertilizers (P90K60) and Rhizobium lotus bacterial inoculant increases productivity, while adding boron-molybdenum fertilizers can increase yield by 40%.

Lotus «FAKEL» not only serves as a fodder plant but also actively participates in biological pest control. It enriches the soil with nitrogen, restores its structure, and promotes the growth of subsequent grain and vegetable crops. Beekeepers value it for its rich pollen and nectar, which boosts honey production up to 15–20 kg/ha. Due to its versatility in application, «FAKEL» is suitable for both agricultural needs and landscape design.
