Description Hermes
The 'Hermes' gooseberry variety is a mid-late variety bred by breeders from Montenegro. The berries of this variety differ in their sweet taste with a slight sourness, possess dessert qualities and are rich in vitamins C, B, A, as well as minerals and trace elements. Fruits are large, weighing from 6 to 10 grams, thin-skinned and pleasant to taste, which makes them an excellent choice for fresh consumption and processing.

The plant is characterized by high yield — up to 10 kg from one bush, as well as good frost resistance and resistance to diseases such as anthracnose and powdery mildew. Bushes are of medium height, almost without thorns on shoots, which facilitates care. The variety is not demanding on growing conditions and can grow successfully both in open ground and in containers, which expands its cultivation opportunities.

'Hermes' is suitable for growing for the fresh market due to excellent fruit preservation and their commercial appearance. It is recommended to maintain optimal planting density for maximum yield. Moreover, the variety tolerates transportation well and can be grown in film greenhouses for obtaining an earlier harvest. Thanks to its frost resistance and disease resistance, gooseberry 'Hermes' is a reliable and high-yielding choice for gardeners.
