The culture requires a precise environmental setup, specifically high ambient humidity levels ranging from 75% to 90%. Consistent temperatures between +23°C and +27°C are essential to prevent dormancy and promote healthy growth cycles.
The growing medium must be highly porous and well-draining. A professional aroid mix comprising orchid bark, perlite, pumice, and high-quality sphagnum moss is recommended to ensure proper aeration for the delicate root system.
Light intensity should be carefully managed; bright, indirect, or filtered light is ideal. Exposing the plant to direct sunlight will scorch the leaves and permanently damage the deep pigmentation characteristic of this species.
Irrigation practices must be methodical, utilizing soft or distilled water. Allow the top portion of the substrate to dry out between waterings to prevent the development of anaerobic conditions that lead to rhizome rot.
