Zucchini YELLOWFIN

Consistent Yields Even in Stressful Conditions

The «Yellowfin» zucchini hybrid from the Dutch breeding company Enza Limited is the choice for professional farmers who prioritize predictability and high product quality. In the face of climate change, this hybrid demonstrates exceptional resistance to key pathogens, including powdery mildew, watermelon mosaic virus, and cucumber mosaic virus. This genetic protection minimizes the need for pesticide applications, significantly reducing production costs.

Appearance and Characteristics

The main strength of «Yellowfin» is its attractive fruit, which ranges from light green to a rich, vibrant green. The fruits are distinguished by their uniformity, perfect shape, and firm flesh, which retains its marketability for a long time during storage and transport. Unlike many standard varieties, this hybrid is less prone to deformation during temperature fluctuations, making it ideal for cultivation both in open fields and film greenhouses.

Why Choose «Yellowfin»?

• Crop Health: The comprehensive immunity to viral and fungal diseases allows for harvest success even during periods of high humidity or pest pressure.
• Stability: The originator, Enza Zaden Beheer B.V., has focused heavily on the plant's generative development, ensuring concentrated and reliable yields.
• Profitability: Uniform, consistent fruit is in high demand by supermarket chains and fresh markets, as it meets rigorous quality standards.

This hybrid is a reliable tool for agronomists aiming for maximum profit with moderate crop protection expenditures. «Yellowfin» is forgiving of minor agronomic errors while remaining highly productive and resilient against external environmental stressors.
