The Cadryl apple variety is an early-winter variety, created by breeders of the Zhirulevskie Sady (Zhigulevskie Gardens) All-Russian Research Institute of Pomology and Medicinal Plants by crossing the varieties Daughter of Papirivka and Gift to Children. Trees of this variety are of medium size, fast-growing, with a wide pyramidal crown of medium density and compact arrangement of main branches. The bark on the trunk and main branches is smooth and gray. The variety is distinguished by winter hardiness and medium resistance to scab, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions.
The fruits of the Cadryl apple have a medium mass of about 130 grams, an oval-conical shape with wide ribs and a regular outline. The fruit skin is shiny; the main color changes from greenish-yellow at harvest maturity to light yellow at consumer maturity. The overlay color is represented by a light brownish-red sunburn with large white dots. The flesh of the fruits is yellow, medium density, tender, and very juicy, with an acid-sweet taste rated at 4.2 points. Harvest maturity occurs in mid-September, and the consumer period lasts until the end of December, ensuring long-term storage of the harvest.
The Cadryl variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 20 tons per hectare. The main fruiting structures consist of simple and compound clusters. Thanks to its characteristics, such as winter hardiness, resistance to scab, attractive appearance of the fruits, and good taste qualities, the Cadryl apple is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking to obtain a high-quality and stable crop.
