Wheat Za'atar

Focus on Intensity and Reliability

The 'Zaotar' wheat variety from the National Scientific Center 'Institute of Agriculture of NAAS' is a choice for those accustomed to predictable results under intensive farming conditions. When operating this variety, you get a clear response to fertilizer application: the crop does not waste energy on excessive vegetative mass, effectively directing resources toward ear formation.

Field Performance and Efficiency

The main challenge with high-yielding varieties is lodging. With 'Zaotar,' this issue is genetically minimized: its short-stem type ensures high resistance to lodging, significantly simplifying harvesting for the operator. You won't need to reduce speed or constantly adjust the header height due to downed crops. Harvesting is clean, with minimal losses that typically cut into your bottom line.

Operational Flexibility

• Stress Tolerance: The variety shows excellent adaptability to the climatic conditions of Ukrainian steppe and forest-steppe zones, reducing the need for additional growth regulators.
• Winter Hardiness: High resilience during winter periods allows for confident planning, ensuring stable plant density upon spring regrowth.
• Phytosanitary Profile: Field resistance to major wheat diseases lowers the pressure on your crop protection system. Fewer passes with the sprayer mean savings on fuel, labor, and machine depreciation.

'Zaotar' does not require specialized skills or modification of your existing machinery. It is a workhorse that responds predictably to standard agronomic practices, allowing you to accurately budget and forecast yields starting from the soil preparation stage.
