The Rune F1 watermelon is an early Crimson Sweet type hybrid with a maturation period of 60-65 days from seedling transplanting. The plant is robust and stably forms two fruits each, ensuring high yield. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation both with irrigation and in dryland conditions, making it versatile for various climate zones and farming methods.
Rune watermelon fruits have a round shape and dark green coloration with beautiful stripes, creating the impression of freshly harvested produce. The flesh is deep red with a good granular structure, boasts a sweetness level of 12-13% on the Brix scale, and features a pleasant taste and aroma. A relatively small number of seeds form inside the fruit, enhancing consumption convenience. The average fruit weight is 8-12 kg.
The hybrid features a thick rind measuring 1.5-2.0 cm, ensuring excellent transportability and post-harvest storage of fruits. Additionally, Rune F1 is distinguished by high resistance to sunburn, as well as diseases such as Fusarium and Anthracnose.
