Watermelon COMMISSAR

The watermelon COMMISSAR is an early-maturing, high-yielding Crimson Sweet type hybrid maturing in approximately 60-62 days. The plant is characterized by strong vigor and a powerful leaf apparatus, which contributes to good fruit setting and their uniform development. Fruits have an oval-round shape, uniform in size and shape, weighing from 8 to 14 kg depending on growing conditions. The rind is of medium thickness, sturdy, and dark green with characteristic light green stripes, ensuring high transportability and storability, allowing watermelons to maintain freshness during long transportation and storage.

The flesh of the watermelon COMMISSAR is characterized by a rich dark red color, juiciness, and tenderness. It has a crisp texture, pleasant aroma, and high sugar content — from 12 to 13%, which ensures excellent taste qualities. Thanks to these characteristics, the watermelon enjoys high demand in the early watermelon market, offering an optimal fruit size that is convenient for consumers.

The hybrid is resistant to major diseases such as anthracnose and fusarium wilt, which increases its reliability when grown in various climatic conditions. In addition, COMMISSAR is well adapted to adverse weather conditions and has excellent covering ability, making it an excellent choice for early planting and direct sowing in open ground. All these qualities make the watermelon COMMISSAR attractive for both farmers and end consumers.
