HIME YELLOW

Hime Yellow watermelon is an ultrarad hybrid with yellow flesh, distinguished by its high maturity rate and excellent taste qualities. The vegetative period ranges from 50 to 70 days depending on growing conditions, allowing for early harvest. The plant is compact, with a powerful root system and dense foliage that effectively protects the fruits from sunburn. The hybrid is well-adapted to various climatic conditions and is successfully cultivated both in open ground and greenhouses. The watermelon fruits have an elongated-oval or round-oval shape with light green skin adorned with dark or almost black stripes. Average fruit weight varies from 2 to 4 kilograms. The flesh is a rich lemon-yellow or orange shade, featuring a crunchy and tender texture, high sweetness with sugar content at 11-13%. Thanks to increased beta-carotene content, the watermelon offers not only a pleasant taste but also high nutritional value. The Hime Yellow hybrid is characterized by good marketability and transportability of fruits, making it attractive for commercial cultivation. The plant is resistant to a number of diseases, including anthracnose, powdery mildew, and fusarium wilt, ensuring a stable yield even under complex temperature conditions. Cultivation via seedlings or direct seeding is recommended depending on the region, with optimal planting schemes and the possibility of using drip irrigation to increase yield, which can exceed 8 kg per square meter.
