Kadia Watermelon is a mid-early hybrid of the Crimson Sweet type, developed by Vilmorin. The period from full germination to the first harvest of fruits is 70-78 days, which allows for harvesting in relatively short time. The plant is vining, which is characteristic of this type of watermelon.

Kadia watermelon fruits have an oval or elliptical shape with a mass of 3 to 4 kilograms. The rind is light green in color with medium-width green stripes and weak mottling, while the skin is thin. The flesh differs in its purple hue, medium density, and has excellent taste, combining sweetness and juiciness. Seeds are of medium size, red-brown, without a pattern.

This variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 166-193 centners per hectare when grown on dry farming. Kadia watermelons are well transported and maintain their commercial qualities for 30 days after picking, which makes them convenient for storage and marketing.
