The 'Sinit' jujube variety represents a moderately tall long-lived tree with a dense crown and dark green, thick leaves. The fruits have an oval shape, a slightly pointed end, dark brown skin, and weigh up to 7 grams. Inside is soft yellow-cream flesh, extremely juicy with a pleasant sweet-sour taste. Fruits ripen by the end of September and can be consumed as fresh delicacies as well as raw materials for jams, compotes, and pickles.
Jujube is rich in B, C, A, and E vitamins, as well as rutin and pectin. These substances contribute to strengthening blood vessels, the immune and nervous systems, maintain youthfulness of skin, and help cleanse the body of toxins. Leaves and bark are used in folk medicine: a bark decoction treats diarrhea, while a leaf extract helps treat bronchial and upper respiratory tract diseases.
For growing the 'Sinit' variety, moderate climatic conditions with a temperature range from -25 °C to +25 °C are suitable. The tree does not require chemical treatment, is resistant to diseases and pests. Seedlings are sold as seeds; roots are treated with a special mixture 'Goruvinki' to retain moisture during transportation. After planting, the tree needs moderate watering, mineral and organic fertilizer application starting from the second year, as well as periodic pruning of branches in spring and autumn.
