The Zemfira F1 tomato is an early hybrid of pink-fruited, indeterminate type, selected in the Netherlands, intended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses. The plant features a compact form with very short internodes, strong growth vigor, and a robust root system, ensuring reliable nutrition even under stressful conditions. This hybrid demonstrates extremely concentrated early yield with a maturity period of about 105 days.
The fruits of the Zemfira tomato have a round-oval shape, rich pink color without green shoulder at the stem attachment, and weigh between 190 to 220 grams, with early trusses reaching 300 grams or more. They exhibit high marketability, do not crack, and maintain their appearance well during transportation and storage. Due to their excellent taste, these tomatoes are widely used both in fresh salads and for direct consumption.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to train the plant into a single stem with mandatory support and regular feeding. Seed sowing requires the use of disinfected special containers with drainage holes and prepared substrate, such as a sand and peat mixture. Seeds undergo treatment for disinfection and improved germination, including soaking in potassium permanganate solution and heat treatment at variable temperatures. After sowing, the substrate should be covered with plastic film or a thin layer of vermiculite to maintain moisture, and after germination, proper temperature regime and gradual hardening of seedlings before transplanting into the greenhouse should be ensured.
