Tomato Tanok

Resilient genetics for demanding conditions

The «Tanok» tomato variety, developed by Iob Naan, is a strategic choice for growers prioritizing durability over high-maintenance hybrids. Its standout feature is its robust disease resistance profile. While many commercial varieties struggle with viral pressure, «Tanok» demonstrates high resilience against tobacco mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, and various plant viral diseases, combined with a strong natural defense against late blight (phytophthora).

Who should choose this variety?

«Tanok» is an excellent option for small-to-medium farming operations and home gardens where minimizing fungicide applications is a priority. Its genetic resistance helps farmers mitigate losses without heavy chemical dependence. It is important to note that due to its fruit size (up to 60g), it is specifically designed for canning or niche market snack sales, rather than the large-fruit fresh market segment. If you need a reliable, hardy tomato that handles storage and shipping with ease, this variety is a top-tier performer in its class.
