Tomato RED BALL TOMATO

Stability and Selection Quality from VNIIOOB

The «Malinovy SHAR» tomato is a testament to the long-term breeding expertise of the Russian Federal Research Center VNIIOOB and the Agrovnedrenie enterprise. Developed under the supervision of Yuri Ivanovich Avdeev, this variety is aimed at both professional and hobbyist vegetable growers who prioritize consistency. It has earned a reputation as a reliable «workhorse» variety, delivering predictable results under standard agricultural practices in open ground and film tunnels.

Agronomic Profile

As a determinate plant, the variety simplifies cultivation by self-limiting its growth, allowing the plant to concentrate its energy on fruit development. The vegetation period spans 100–120 days, making it a mid-season tomato that fits perfectly into the production cycles of most regional farms.

• Fruit Characteristics: The tomatoes feature a uniform, round shape and weigh between 150 and 200 grams, meeting standard market requirements for fresh produce.
• Marketability: A standout feature of the «Malinovy SHAR» is its excellent transportability. The firmness of the fruit ensures that the crop maintains its aesthetic and structural integrity during long-distance shipping.
• Versatility: Its classic red color and balanced flavor profile make it suitable for both fresh markets and industrial processing, such as juicing or canning.

Sourcing seeds directly from the originator, VNIIOOB, guarantees variety purity and adherence to original breeding standards. For growers looking for a balance between high yield and low-maintenance requirements, this variety represents a robust asset capable of ensuring steady supply throughout the peak season.
