Prado

Prado F1 is an early-maturing hybrid of indeterminate eggplant developed by Kitano Seeds. The plant is tall with a strong root system and abundant foliage, providing reliable protection for fruits against sunburn and promoting good nutrition. The hybrid is highly adaptable to various growing conditions, resistant to diseases and lodging, and responsive to fertilizer application and regular drip irrigation. Prado F1 is suitable for cultivation both in open and protected soil, demonstrating stable and prolonged fruiting.

Prado eggplant fruits have a classic oval or pear-shaped form with a smooth, glossy dark purple surface. The skin is thin and elastic, reliably protecting the light cream-colored, dense, tender flesh that is free of bitterness and contains minimal seeds. Fruit size ranges from 12 to 23 cm in length, weighing between 180 to 230 grams. High taste quality makes this hybrid versatile for various cooking methods: frying, grilling, stewing, canning, and freezing.

The Prado hybrid has high yield potential — up to 55-60 tons per hectare — as well as excellent transportability and long storage life without loss of appearance or taste. Fruits ripen in clusters of 3-4, facilitating harvesting. Due to its characteristics, Prado F1 is widely used both in home gardening and in industrial cultivation and processing.
