Tomato ONIKOR

A Compact Superfood for Your Farm

The Onikor tomato from the Russian producer Ooo Agroks is a strategic choice for growers who value predictability and speed. In the segment of determinate cherry tomatoes, this variety stands out due to its short vegetation period, allowing for a harvest in less than 90 days. It is a true 'sprinter' for those focused on commercial production or looking to clear their fields quickly at the end of a short summer season.

Why Choose Onikor?

• Robust Immunity: Genetic resistance to Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt, and Tomato Mosaic Virus eliminates the need for aggressive fungicide applications, which is essential for producing high-quality, eco-friendly crops.
• Logistical Excellence: The firm, plum-shaped fruits, weighing up to 20 grams, are perfect for tray packaging. They resist cracking during transport and maintain excellent shelf appeal in retail environments.
• Operational Efficiency: The determinate growth habit simplifies cultivation, often requiring minimal staking and pruning, significantly reducing labor costs on the plantation.

One challenge to note is the need for consistent soil moisture management during ripening. Despite its excellent disease resistance, erratic watering can lead to micro-cracking near the stem, a common trait in small-fruited plum tomatoes. Overall, Onikor is an optimal choice for small-to-medium farms specializing in fresh appetizers, culinary decoration, and premium vegetable mixes.
