F1 Gladiator — mid-season, high-yielding, insect-pollinated hybrid — pollinator of mixed flowering type. Has a remontant male flowering type. Branching from moderate to strong. Green fruits 15–17 cm long, white, complex, sparse pubescence, surface of green fruits with large tubercles. By appearance, green fruits resemble the variety Manul. The hybrid is characterized by high fruit quality. It enters fruiting on the 50–60th day after emergence. Yield in winter-spring rotation 20–25 kg/sq. m. In commercial plantings, the proportion of F1 Gladiator plants is 10–15%. In some cases, F1 Gladiator can be used as a main hybrid. At lower air temperatures, the female sex of the plants may slightly increase. The hybrid is resistant to cucumber mosaic virus and tolerant to root rots. It has high plasticity to environmental factors.
