Tomato MATRESHKA

Tomato "Matreshka" is a medium-maturing variety with a vegetative period of about 110-120 days. The plant has a determinate growth habit and medium height, varying from 60 to 160 cm depending on growing conditions. Plants require support, and for an earlier harvest, partial suckering — removal of all suckers up to the first flower cluster — is recommended. The variety is resistant to major tomato diseases, which simplifies care and increases the chances of a good harvest. The fruits of tomato "Matreshka" have an elegant pear-shaped form and are distinguished by a delicate pink or red color when ripe. The weight of one fruit ranges from 60 to 150 grams, depending on specific growing conditions. The flesh is juicy, succulent, and aromatic, with a pleasant sweet taste, making these tomatoes versatile for fresh consumption as well as for pickling and canning. The fruits are not prone to cracking, which contributes to their preservation during transport and storage. The "Matreshka" variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected environments, primarily through seedling methods. It is recommended to tie up the plants for support and to promote proper growth. The yield of this variety is average, but due to its disease resistance and good fruit flavor, it is popular among gardeners. Tomatoes of this variety continue to bear fruit until frost, allowing for an extended harvest period.
