Description
Tomato variety "Malinovy Silech" is a medium-maturing indeterminate hybrid intended for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. Fruit ripening period ranges from 90 to 116 days depending on growing conditions. The plant is tall, forming clusters with 6-15 flowers, each bearing up to 7 large fruits weighing 130-190 grams. Fruits are round, smooth, with 4-6 chambers, colored in deep raspberry hue without green spots upon full ripening.
Tomato fruits have dense but tender skin, providing high resistance to cracking and prolonged storage life. Flesh is dense, sweet, without acidity, with high sugar content, making this variety ideal for fresh consumption, pickling, canning, and processing into tomato products. Due to its high transportability and consistent fruiting, "Malinovy Silech" is suitable for commercial cultivation.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to various diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus, fusarium, bacterial spot, stemphylium, and late blight. It is recommended to train the plant as a single stem and cultivate at a density no greater than 4 plants per square meter. Yield reaches 8.8-9.0 kg/m² in open ground and can reach 15-18 kg/m² under greenhouse conditions.
