Description LOW-GROWTH ZAPUNYAKA
Tomato Zapunyaka is a low-growing determinate variety, characterized by a compact plant height ranging from 35 to 90 centimeters depending on growing conditions. It is a stem-type plant with elongated or slightly wrinkled leaves, requiring no mandatory pruning, although pinching out suckers and tying up clusters due to their weight is recommended. Suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under cover, it demonstrates resistance to hot weather and adverse conditions, ensuring a stable yield across various regions. The fruits of Tomato Zapunyaka are elliptical or round-pear-shaped, red in color with pale-red flesh. The weight of one tomato ranges from 50 to 120 grams. The flesh is juicy, jelly-like with large seeds, possessing a harmonious sweet-tart flavor with a strong tomato aroma and subtle fruity notes. Dry matter content ranges from 5 to 8%, and the flesh is somewhat watery. Each cluster forms 4 to 17 fruits, ensuring high yield — up to 3-5 kilograms per plant. Mid-early to early maturing, the fruiting period spans 90 to 120 days, with prolonged fruiting from June until the end of September. Tomatoes are versatile for use: eaten fresh, chopped for salads, salted, canned, sun-dried, and used in various dishes. Due to their dense fruits and abundant flowering, this variety is well-suited for commercial cultivation and preservation, requiring minimal care.
