Tomato KDS-1 F1

Stable performance in challenging conditions

KDS-1 F1 is a reliable workhorse for farmers who value predictability and resource efficiency. This determinate hybrid, developed by the Kyiv DS IOB UAAS, is engineered for those who want to minimize dependence on excessive chemical treatments. Its standout feature is its innate resistance to a core set of diseases, including verticillium wilt, fusarium wilt, cladosporium, and powdery mildew. In practice, this translates to lower operational costs for fungicides and a reduced ecological footprint.

Operation and Maintenance

The determinate growth habit minimizes the need for complex trellising, significantly reducing labor requirements during the growing season. With a maturation period of 120–130 days, this mid-to-late season hybrid allows for efficient scheduling of field operations. When maintained properly, the plants maintain a compact stature, simplifying crop management and harvesting processes.

Commercial Value

The 60–80 gram fruits feature a classic round shape and a vibrant red color. This is the market standard for both whole-fruit canning and fresh consumption. For logistics operators, the key advantage is the fruit's high density, which ensures excellent transportability without sacrificing marketability. You receive a yield that arrives at the market in the same condition as it was harvested from the field.

• Biological Defense: Resistance to verticillium and fusarium wilt.
• Efficiency: Optimal fruit size for the processing industry.
• Predictability: Ukrainian breeding specifically adapted to regional climatic conditions.
