Tomato Tsilindra Shokoladnaya

Operational Performance: Yield and Storage Stability

In commercial tomato production, the choice of variety determines not only the yield volume but also the ease of supply chain management. The 'Tsilindra Shokoladnaya' by SDK-SIDS is a variety engineered for growers who prioritize consistent, heavy produce and long-term shelf life. With an average fruit weight exceeding 200 grams, it is a robust player for the high-end retail market.

Field Experience and Handling

• Structural Integrity: The cylindrical shape of the fruit is highly efficient for transport, fitting well into standard crates with minimal bruising. The structural firmness ensures that the fruit maintains its shape even after handling.
• Storage Capacity: The ability to store fruit for over 30 days is a key advantage for farmers looking to avoid the 'harvest-and-sell' trap, allowing for more flexible marketing strategies.
• Visual Appeal: The distinct brown color serves as a point of difference on the shelves, often sought after by consumers looking for premium flavor profiles associated with darker-pigmented varieties.

From an operator's perspective, this variety demands standard trellising practices. Given the weight of the fruit (200g+), ensure the support system is robust enough to handle the load, especially during high-wind events. Potassium management during the fruit-fill stage is critical to maintaining the density of the flesh, which directly correlates to the long storage life. 'Tsilindra Shokoladnaya' proves itself as a reliable, high-yield asset for any production facility focused on balancing high output with excellent market-ready durability.
