CHIBIS

Tomato variety CHIBIS is a mid-early or mid-ripening variety with a period from emergence to fruiting of about 100-110 days. Plants are bushy, compact, and stem-like, reaching a height of 50-70 cm. They are characterized by low stature and moderate need for pinching, which simplifies care. Sowing seedlings is recommended in late March to early April, with transplanting at the stage of the first or second true leaf. Planting in open ground is carried out in late May to early June, requiring proper care including regular watering, especially during flowering and fruit set, as well as weeding, loosening, and fertilizing. The fruits of tomato CHIBIS have an elongated-cylindrical shape with a characteristic tapering at the apex and a small "nose." They are dense, slightly ribbed, bright red, weighing from 50 to 70 grams. High dry matter content ensures excellent taste and fruit density, which do not crack. Due to these characteristics, tomatoes are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for whole-fruit canning and barrel pickling. The fruits are well-transportable and long-lasting, making this variety convenient for commercial cultivation and home use. A distinctive feature of the variety is its resistance to blossom and root rot, which increases crop reliability. Harvesting fruits at the blush ripeness stage with subsequent ripening allows increasing yield to 3 kg per plant. The optimal seeding depth is 1-2 cm, and germination temperature should be within 20-25°C. All these characteristics make tomato CHIBIS a versatile and practical choice for open-ground cultivation.
