Description
CANDY — a medium-maturing determinate tomato variety recommended for cultivation in open ground and under plastic coverings. Plants of this variety reach a height of 0.5 to 0.7 meters and require staking and moderate suckering for optimal growth. The plant is resistant to major tomato diseases, which simplifies care and increases yield.
The fruits of the CANDY variety have an elongated shape with a characteristic 'nose' and weigh between 20 to 50 grams. They are red with yellow stripes and streaks, have a firm skin that does not crack or split. The tomatoes have a very sweet flavor with a fruity aroma reminiscent of candies, making them ideal for fresh consumption as well as for canning.
This variety is high-yielding and decorative: compact plants with neat foliage and bright fruits create an attractive appearance. Due to their flavor and versatility, CANDY tomatoes are suitable for fresh consumption, salad preparation, home canning, and for selling fresh produce in the market.
