ASTRAKHANSKIJ

Tomato variety Astrakhanskij is a medium-late determinate variety with a fruit maturation period of 115 to 122 days after emergence of seedlings. Plants reach a height of 65-80 cm, making them low-growing and suitable for cultivation in open ground. Fruits are round, dense, red, weighing from 100 to 160 grams, juicy and very tasty, making them versatile for consumption both fresh and for preservation.

This tomato variety is heat- and light-loving, thus requiring appropriate growing conditions. It is recommended to grow by seedlings or direct sowing of seeds into the soil. Before sowing, seeds are better treated with a 1% potassium permanganate solution to improve germination and protect against diseases. Seeds are sown at a depth of 1-1.5 cm, and seedlings are transplanted at an age of 50-60 days. For successful growth and fruiting, Astrakhanskij tomato requires light, fertile soils and responds well to fertilization.

The variety is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) and Egyptian wilt, which increases its reliability and reduces the risk of yield loss. Due to its characteristics and taste qualities, Astrakhanskij tomato is suitable for cultivation in various regions and is widely used both for fresh consumption and for home preservation.
