AKOYA

The AKOYA tomato is a determinate bush-type variety characterized by its compact size and height of about 45 cm, with a bush width of approximately 25 cm. This variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses, making it a versatile choice for gardeners and commercial growers. The plant exhibits resistance to many common tomato diseases, including good tolerance to late blight, which significantly simplifies care and increases crop reliability.

The AKOYA tomato fruits have a unique color and shape: they are small in size, weighing about 20-30 grams, with a distinctly glossy black color that transitions from green at the base through orange to a deep red with dark black shoulders upon ripening. This coloration is due to a high content of anthocyanins — natural antioxidants — which not only give the fruits an attractive appearance but also beneficial properties. The taste of these tomatoes is rich and sweet, making them especially valuable for fresh consumption.

A distinctive feature of the AKOYA variety is its ability to maintain bright green foliage throughout the entire vegetative period, unlike many other varieties whose leaves gradually turn yellow with age.
