Tomato 325/09

Reliable Performance for Mid-to-Late Season Production

The «325/09» tomato variety is engineered for those who prioritize consistency and crop quality over early harvest. With a growth cycle of 120–130 days, this variety falls into the late-maturing category, making it an excellent candidate for regions where the primary goal is late-summer processing and winter storage.

Key Advantages and Distinctions

• Fruit Integrity: The most significant benefit of this variety is its fruit density. It resists cracking better than many early-maturing counterparts, allowing it to stay on the vine longer without losing marketability.
• Processing Versatility: Because of its specific flesh structure, «325/09» is highly valued for canning, sauce preparation, and industrial processing. It maintains its shape and texture during heat treatment.
• Environmental Resilience: Developed within the Russian agricultural context, the variety shows strong adaptation to shifting summer weather patterns, showing stability in regions with fluctuating soil moisture levels.

Agrotechnical Considerations

Since the maturation period stretches to 120–130 days, successful cultivation depends on timing. Growers should focus on prophylactic disease management, particularly fungal infections, which are more common during the latter part of the season. Given the long cycle, the plant develops a robust root system, allowing it to perform well even under moderate stress, provided it receives consistent irrigation during fruit development.

«325/09» is not the variety for the "first-to-market" segment. Instead, it is a strategic choice for growers looking to maximize output for processing. Its predictability and durability make it an indispensable asset for large-scale operations or for home gardeners focused on long-term preservation.
