SHARP-LEAF 316

SHARP-LEAF 316 is a high-yielding variety of smoke tobacco with low nicotine content (1.0–1.5%) and excellent raw material quality. The plant has a cylindrical shape, up to 2 m in height, with upright leaves. The leaf is sessile, long, widely elliptical, light green, 25–30 cm long and more than 20 cm wide; typically, 30 to 37 technically viable leaves are formed on one plant.

The variety belongs to mid-late maturity, skeletal types. Flowering begins approximately 108 days after planting, and the ripening of first-order leaves is achieved in the range of 80–85 days; full ripening of the last layer takes from 120 to 140 days. Thanks to such a prolonged growth phase, SHARP-LEAF 316 ensures a yield of first-grade raw material exceeding 90% and high productivity.
