Fragrant tobacco «Lunevskiy» – a decorative plant of the Solanaceae family, native to South America and cultivated as an annual in temperate regions. Plant height reaches 70–90 cm, while flowers attain a diameter of up to 5 cm. They are pale pink with a dark pink tube and gathered into large cluster-like inflorescences that open in the evening, emitting a strong pleasant aroma.
Flowering begins in July and continues until September, allowing «Lunevskiy» to be used as a solitary plant or part of group compositions on flowerbeds. The recommended planting scheme is 30 × 40 cm between plants to ensure sufficient space for inflorescence development.
Cultivation starts with sowing seeds for seedlings in the second half of March, followed by hardening the seedlings and transplanting them into open ground in the second half of May. For successful growth, timely watering, fertilizing, soil loosening, and removal of withered flowers are required. Thanks to its disease resistance and bright coloration, «Lunevskiy» is popular among gardeners wishing to add aromatic and decorative accents to their plots.
