Early maturing hybrid with evenly spaced ears, excellent taste and high marketability
Tronka F1 — Early maturing, high-yielding hybrid of sweet corn. The period from emergence to technical maturity — 110-115 days. Plants of the early hybrid Tronka F1 are medium-height, up to 190 cm. The hybrid produces evenly spaced and uniform ears — 2-3 per plant. Ears of the early sweet corn Tronka F1 are large, cylindrical, 20-22 cm long, 4.2-4.5 cm in diameter, weighing 220-240 g. The number of rows of kernels per ear is 14-16. Kernels are even, not large, golden-yellow, and have excellent taste. Yield of the early hybrid Tronka F1 — 14-16 tons per hectare. The product is used for canning, freezing, and fresh consumption. The early hybrid Tronka F1 is distinguished by high resistance to many diseases (head rot, common rust, bacterial rots). Sweet corn should not be sown until soil temperature reaches 10°C. Early sowing, as well as late sowing, leads to significant yield reduction. To ensure even emergence of the early hybrid Tronka F1, seeds are sown in moist soil; if the soil is too dry, a light irrigation should be applied immediately after sowing. Optimal sowing depth — 4-5 cm. The seeding rate for the early hybrid Tronka F1 is 50,000 plants per hectare. Minimum distance between plants in a row — 25 cm. In practice, the planting scheme for corn — 75 x 25 cm. To obtain high-quality fresh product, use the ears and kernels of sweet corn at the milk stage of maturity. The rate of sugar loss during storage is directly proportional to storage time and increased temperature.
