The hybrid sunflower VA 760-IMI, also known as Odyssey IMI, is a high-oleic variety developed for cultivation under the herbicide Evrolighting in the Clearfield system. This hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching 40 to 52 centners per hectare under optimal conditions. The vegetation period ranges from 112 to 116 days, allowing successful cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine, as well as areas with hot and dry climates. Due to its high drought resistance and vigorous growth, VA 760-IMI consistently delivers good results even on poor soils. One of the key advantages of this hybrid is its genetic resistance to common sunflower diseases, including five races of downy mildew (A, B, C, D, E), as well as sclerotinia, frogeye, and white mold. This enables sunflower cultivation in regions with varying rainfall levels, including more humid areas. Additionally, the hybrid exhibits high resistance to sunflower moth and seed shattering, which helps preserve yield and improve its quality. VA 760-IMI seeds have large kernels and high oil content, with oil extraction reaching 49%. This makes the hybrid attractive to producers focused on obtaining high-quality oil products. It is recommended for use in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe zones, as well as in areas with hot climates, where it demonstrates stability and high productivity.
