Sunflower P 64 LE 153 is a mid-season linoleic hybrid developed for the ExpressSun® herbicide protection technology. The vegetative period is approximately 116-120 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully adapt to various climatic conditions. Plants are characterized by medium to above-medium height, green leaf color, and yellow disc flowers. The seeds feature a distinct marginal stripe and weakly expressed stripes between the edges, with a 1000-seed mass reaching approximately 60.7 grams.
The hybrid exhibits high yield potential, confirmed by average performance in the Lower Volga region, where average yield is around 22.8 centners per hectare, with a maximum of 33.3 centners per hectare. Sunflower P 64 LE 153 demonstrates excellent resistance to new strains of false powdery mildew and is tolerant to leaf, stem, and head diseases, including fomopsis, head rot, and verticillium. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to various strains of sunflower parasite — owchka (A-E + System II), requiring avoidance of planting on fields with high prevalence of strains G and above.
The recommended planting density is 50-55 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture levels. The hybrid is intended for use with Express® 75 herbicide at the maximum single application rate of 50 g, ensuring effective weed control and promoting stable plant development. Due to its adaptive traits and disease resistance, P 64 LE 153 is a reliable choice for achieving high sunflower yields in various agroclimatic zones.
