F7 AX2 J is a new mid-early sunflower hybrid developed by breeders of LLC "AF NPP AGROMIR" and approved for state testing in 2024. It is characterized by high yield, reaching 37.5 centners per hectare in drought-prone areas of the forest-steppe zone, with a potential yield of up to 47 centners per hectare. Plants grow to a height of 170-175 cm and contain up to 52% oil, making this hybrid attractive for oilseed production. Recommended planting density varies by region: 60-65 thousand plants per hectare in the forest-steppe zone and 50-55 thousand in the steppe zone.

One of the key features of F7 AX2 J is its high resistance to broomrape (Orobanche cumana) — a parasitic plant that significantly reduces sunflower yield by absorbing nutrients and water from the root system. The hybrid possesses herbicide resistance, particularly to formulations containing tribenuron-methyl (SUMO technology), enabling effective control of the parasite and preventing its spread. Resistance to broomrape ensures stable yields even on infested fields, which is especially important in regions with high prevalence of the parasite.

In addition, F7 AX2 J demonstrates high resistance to various stress factors and diseases. It exhibits very high resistance to lodging and drought, as well as high resistance to lodging. The hybrid effectively resists diseases such as gray mold and white mold of the head, scoring 9 out of 10 on the resistance scale. These traits make it a reliable choice for cultivation in challenging climatic conditions and contribute to obtaining stable and high yields.
