NA SOKAR is a mid-season sunflower hybrid (Helianthus annuus L.) intended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem and Ural regions, with recommendations for growing in Belgorod and Orenburg regions. The hybrid's vegetation period is 121 days, and the 1000-seed mass reaches 58.8 grams. The hybrid exhibits resistance to false powdery mildew and moderate susceptibility to white mold, contributing to stable yields reaching 34.4 centners per hectare in the Central Chernozem region.
For effective weed control in NA SOKAR sunflower crops, it is recommended to use a systemic herbicide-desiccant based on ammonium glyphosate salt. This product has contact action and is intended for controlling annual and perennial grasses as well as broadleaf weeds. Its active ingredient — glyphosate acid at a concentration of 436 g/l — blocks amino acid synthesis and destroys weed cell structures, leading to their death.
The herbicide is applied to agricultural fields before planting crops and for desiccation of crops and weeds two weeks before harvest when grain moisture is not more than 30%. The application rate of the product is 2.0 to 5.0 liters per hectare. The formulation is a water solution, available in 20-liter containers. Using the herbicide Sokar ensures effective weed control and improves the quality and yield of NA SOKAR sunflower crops.
