MS 552 A is a high-oleic sunflower hybrid developed by ASPRIA SEEDS S.A. and included in the State Register of the Russian Federation for all sunflower-growing regions. The plant is characterized by low height at maturity, absence of branching, and green leaves with moderate rugosity. Flowering occurs early, and the ray flowers are yellow. The seeds have weakly expressed marginal and internal stripes, which is a distinctive feature of this hybrid.

High-oleic sunflower MS 552 A is distinguished by its high content of monounsaturated oleic acid (up to 95%), providing significant advantages compared to traditional oilseed crops. Due to its high oleic acid content and natural antioxidants such as vitamin E, the oil from this sunflower exhibits improved stability during frying and processing, reducing the formation of harmful trans fats. Moreover, the oil retains its quality four times longer than conventional oil, thereby extending the shelf life of the product.
