Sesame Vizir

The sunflower «VIZIR» variety belongs to medium-maturing crops that reach a height of about 93 cm during the ripening period. The plant is characterized by a branched, erect stem with dark green coloration and single-flowered inflorescences with a white corolla. Each plant forms 80 to 90 whorled capsules, two in the leaf axil, each containing two carpels. False partitions are present inside the capsule, and the valves have high bursting ability.

The seeds of the «VIZIR» variety are round and cream-colored. The oil content of the seeds ranges from 48–54 %, while the protein content ranges from 21.7 % to 23.2 %. The mass of 1000 seeds varies between 3.3 and 3.8 grams. Seed yield at standard moisture reaches 3.3–8.9 centners per hectare, while potential yield ranges from 0.8 to 1 ton per hectare.

The crop is characterized by drought resistance and low susceptibility to acacia weevil. Due to high oil and protein content, the «VIZIR» variety is intended for food use, including in the production of oils, sauces, and confectionery products.
