Sunflower F7 AX2 MJSA

Field Performance: Soltis Ф 7 АХ 2 МЖСА Sunflower Review

This French-bred hybrid from Soltis, the Ф 7 АХ 2 МЖСА, is a perfect example of balanced agronomy. It is designed for those who need a reliable crop that performs well under standard field conditions without requiring complex, experimental management practices.

Plant Dynamics and Field Operation

The plants grow to a height of 190–200 cm. For a combine operator, this is an ideal range: the crop feeds into the header smoothly, keeping the fuel consumption at an efficient level. You don’t have to constantly adjust the header height, and the straw-to-grain ratio is manageable, ensuring that harvest operations proceed without unexpected downtime. The plant structure is sturdy, showing excellent lodging resistance even in volatile weather.

• Seed quality: The black seeds are well-filled and exhibit strong initial vigor.
• Uniformity: The plants mature evenly, which is a major advantage for reducing harvest losses.
• Breeding background: Developed by Soltis, Lidea France, and Marie COQUE, this hybrid integrates robust European genetics.

Management and Maintenance

From an operator's perspective, this hybrid is low-maintenance. It emerges uniformly, which gives the crop a head start against weeds, effectively reducing the need for aggressive herbicide intervention. The root system and stem development are robust enough to withstand heat stress, which is crucial for maintaining yields in late summer. It is a predictable, high-performing choice that allows an agronomist to spend less time troubleshooting and more time focusing on maximizing overall field efficiency. If you want a dependable French-engineered hybrid that delivers on its promises at harvest, this is a solid choice.
