Sunflower VK 680

Efficiency through early maturity

For farm operators, the ВК 680 hybrid is a strategic asset focused on a 90–100 day growth cycle. This ultra-early maturity allows for harvesting before the onset of autumn rain, ensuring the soil is cleared in time for winter crop planting. This hybrid, developed through the collaboration of FNC VNIIMK and Chinese partners, is designed to reduce the logistical burden on your fleet during the peak harvest season.

Field performance and operational ease

Operating this hybrid requires a focus on precise timing, as its physiological development is rapid and highly efficient. Here is why it stands out in terms of field operations:

• Harvest readiness: Uniform head ripening minimizes adjustments required on the combine harvester. The crop reaches optimal moisture levels naturally, which translates directly into lower energy costs for post-harvest drying.
• Mechanical compatibility: The hybrid is highly compatible with standard agricultural machinery. Its stalk structure and head positioning allow for efficient cutting, reducing header loss and minimizing the downtime needed for machinery maintenance.
• Stress resilience: By completing its cycle early, the crop avoids the most severe late-summer heatwaves, preserving the integrity and weight of the seeds.

From the owner's perspective, ВК 680 acts as a reliable, low-maintenance component of the crop rotation. Its compensatory ability ensures that even under varying density conditions, the heads fill out consistently. This results in predictable tonnage and a smoother, faster harvest workflow, allowing you to maximize the throughput of your harvesting equipment without the need for complex, specialized gear.
