Codistar

Codistar sunflower hybrid is a high-quality selection developed using advanced genetic technologies. It belongs to the Clearfield Plus group and is characterized by high plasticity and stable yield, revealing its potential on fertile soils under high agronomic practices and moderate or sufficient moisture. The maturity period is medium-early, ranging from 105 to 115 days, and plant height reaches 160–170 cm. Yield potential varies from 3.5 to 4.4 tons per hectare, with oil content in seeds reaching 50%. Recommended planting density depends on moisture conditions: in dry areas — 40–45 thousand plants per hectare, under moderate moisture — 50–55 thousand, and under sufficient moisture — 55–60 thousand plants.

Codistar exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including frogepsis, white mold, downy mildew, rust, and sclerotinia, with resistance rating on an 8-point scale. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to various races of the parasitic weed — downy mildew (A-E). Seeds are treated with Cruiser (Thiamethoxam 350 g/l), providing additional protection against pests and promoting successful germination.

This hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including northern steppes, forest-steppe, and Polissia. Thanks to genetically enhanced immunity and comprehensive tolerance to local diseases, Codistar demonstrates stable yields even under drought, excessive rainfall, heat, and stress conditions. High germination energy and nearly 100% germination rate make it an excellent choice for planting in areas with high weed pressure, ensuring reliable and high-quality yields.
