Sunflower Ancilla is a simple early-maturing oil hybrid developed for cultivation in all agro-climatic zones of Ukraine, with maximum efficiency in the forest-steppe zone. The hybrid's vegetation period is 106 days, and plant height reaches up to 170 cm. The diameter of the sunflower head can reach 24 cm, contributing to high yield. The 1000-seed mass is 65 g, with oil content in seeds reaching 54%, making the hybrid high-oil and attractive for oil production.
Hybrid Ancilla features a strong root system, ensuring drought and cold resistance, as well as high resistance to lodging and stress conditions. It has strong early growth and uniformity of plants, which contributes to stable yield even under extreme conditions. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to seven races of downy mildew (Peronospora) and possesses high disease resistance, such as fusarium, sclerotinia, fomopsis, and downy mildew, confirmed by an 8 out of 9 disease resistance rating.
Ancilla is recommended for conventional cultivation with optimal planting density, which varies by region: in the forest-steppe — 65–70 thousand plants per hectare, in the steppe — 55–60 thousand/ha, and in northern regions — 75–80 thousand/ha. The hybrid’s yield potential reaches 55–58 centners per hectare, making it a profitable choice for farmers seeking high productivity and quality oilseed.
