Sunflower Altesse RM

Field Performance: Insights on «Altes RM»

When planning a season, the real test isn't the data sheet, but how the crop behaves in the field under actual pressure. The Euralis Semences «Altes RM» hybrid is a reliable tool for those seeking efficiency, especially regarding weed management.

Clearfield Advantage

The standout feature of «Altes RM» is its resistance to Clearfield (IMI) herbicides. For an operator, this simplifies management significantly: you can apply the herbicide post-emergence and tackle even the toughest weeds and broomrape in a single pass. Crucially, the hybrid handles the chemical load without stalling, maintaining its growth momentum exactly when it matters most.

Operational Observations

• Growth Vigor: Coming from the Euralis breeding program, this hybrid shows excellent early vigor. It establishes quickly, which is a major advantage during the early cultivation stages.
• Drought Resilience: While it is an intensive type, «Altes RM» demonstrates surprising resilience to heat and water stress. Its root system is robust enough to pull moisture from deeper soil layers during mid-summer dry spells.
• Harvestability: The crop is straightforward to harvest. The heads mature evenly, and the seeds have excellent retention, meaning you aren't forced into a rushed harvest window, even if the weather conditions fluctuate.

In practice, this is a choice for farmers who prioritize a clean field and predictable yields. It removes the stress of weed pressure and allows for a more streamlined farming operation, delivering results without unnecessary technical headaches.
