NK Delfi sunflower is a moderately-intensive hybrid with a medium-early maturity, high yield potential, and increased resistance to major diseases, lodging, and downy mildew. This hybrid is characterized by good initial growth energy in early stages of organogenesis, promoting successful plant development. A distinctive feature of NK Delfi is the lemon-colored stem and flower head during ripening, which facilitates determination of the ripening stage.
The hybrid is adapted for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine and demonstrates stable yield performance: in the Steppe region, average yield is 33.7 ц/ha, in the Forest-Steppe region — 32.9 ц/ha. Oil content of the seeds is at the level of 50-52%, making NK Delfi attractive for oil production. Additionally, the hybrid exhibits high drought and lodging resistance, rated at 9 points, ensuring reliability under adverse weather conditions.
NK Delfi seeds are treated with the fungicide and insecticide Cruiser, enhancing protection against pests and diseases. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation using classical technology and is suitable for sowing both in open ground and under winter cover. Due to its characteristics, NK Delfi is successfully used not only for oil production but also as a forage crop, expanding its application in agriculture.
