Hybrid sunflower 8Н449CLDM Clearfield is a mid-season high-oleic variety developed by Dow AgroSciences. It is characterized by high oil content in seeds — up to 54%, of which 92% is oleic acid, making this hybrid stand out among its peers in terms of maturity. Uniform flowering and ripening ensure stable yield formation, while its medium-height plant with a strong root system effectively withstands dry periods, ensuring adequate nutrition for development.

The hybrid exhibits high adaptability to growing conditions and disease resistance, particularly to false powdery mildew, which reduces the risk of yield loss. The high-strength stem resists lodging, helping preserve the quality and quantity of seeds. Thanks to the CLEARFIELD system, designed for use with the herbicide Euro Lightning, the hybrid effectively clears weeds, improving growing conditions for plant development.

It is recommended to grow 8Н449CLDM in Steppe and Forest-Steppe regions on fields with high agrofond and after good predecessors. Sowing should be conducted at optimal times, planting seeds 5 cm deep into warmed soil. The potential yield of the hybrid reaches 55 ц/га, with actual yields ranging from 30.4 to 38.2 ц/га of high-quality grain.
