Riverton soybean variety is a mid-late or early maturing variety developed in 2023, characterized by high yield and adaptability to various climatic conditions. Plants reach heights from 58 to 112 cm, with medium-sized leaf blades and color ranging from medium-green to light-green. Flowers can be purple or white, and seeds are yellow with a spherical-pressed shape. The 1000-seed mass varies from 130 to 168.5 g, indicating large and high-quality seed material. The variety is resistant to lodging, drought, shattering, and has a well-developed root system, ensuring reliable cultivation in various regions, including the Forest Steppe, Polесье, Steppe, as well as the Turkistan and Almaty regions.
Riverton is characterized by high protein content (40.9–42%) and fat (about 19.5%), making it valuable for agro-industrial and food industry applications. The yield of this variety reaches 32.7 centners per hectare in the Turkistan region and 15.3 centners per hectare in Almaty, with a technological yield potential of 37–40 centners per hectare. Protein and fat output per hectare amounts to 1150.2 kg and 548.4 kg respectively, confirming the variety's high productivity and nutritional value.
Riverton soybean exhibits high adaptability to unfavorable growing conditions, including drought and water deficit during generative organ formation. The variety demonstrates rapid spring growth and is recommended for sowing at a density of approximately 800,000 plants per hectare.
