Introduced at the Samara Regional Experimental Station for Horticulture by E.P. Finaev, P.P. Ivanov, E.V. Tyuzina, and A.N. Minin from a cross between Kuybyshevskaya Ternosilva and Renclod Bavay. Registered in the State Register in 2005 for the Middle Volga region.
Medium-stature tree with medium growth rate. Crown is spherical-spreading with medium density. Fruit set primarily on cluster branches and spurs. Shoots are thick, straight, dark-red, and bare. Few small, medium-sized, white stipules. Leaves are medium in length and width, egg-shaped, short-pointed, light green, shiny. Leaf blade is concave (like a boat) downward, apex gradually pointed, weakly pubescent. Leaf margin finely toothed. Petioles are medium in length and thickness, green. Stipules are small, 1-2 per leaf, yellow, round. Flowers are solitary, rose-like, medium-sized, white.
Fruits are medium-sized, one-dimensional, averaging 20.0 g in weight. Fruit shape is round. Apex is indented on the sides. Base has a depression, shallow pit. Fruit sutures are small and barely noticeable. Pedicel is medium in length and thickness, easily separates from the branch, attachment to the stone is weak. Fruit color is green with a bluish bloom. Subcutaneous dots are barely visible, white. Skin is medium thickness, bare, with moderate waxy coating, difficult to peel off. Flesh is yellow-green, tender, juicy, with uniform coloration matching the flesh. Juice is colorless. Taste is sour-sweet. Stone separates moderately from the flesh, medium-sized, oval, blunt, with grooves. Fresh fruit taste rating is 4.1 points. Appearance rating is 4.1 points. Fruits contain 16.7% dry matter, 9.98% sugars, 1.44% acids, and 7.85 mg/100g ascorbic acid. Universal use variety. Suitable for making jams and compotes.
Self-fertile variety. Best pollinators: Kuybyshevskaya Ternosilva, Mirnaya, Zhiguli, Krasnaya Skorospelka. Flowering period: May 10-20. Fruit ripening is late. Harvesting period: August 28 — September 5. Fruits are transportable.
Trees begin fruiting in the 3rd-4th year and rapidly increase yield. Yield of 6-7-year-old trees is 8-10 kg per tree, 10-12-year-old trees yield 25-35 kg, with some trees producing up to 60 kg. Fruit set is regular. Fruits adhere well to the tree, but in dry years, significant fruit drop occurs.
Cold hardiness is moderate. Survived severe winters without tree mortality. In the winter of 1978/79, 12-year-old trees suffered frost damage rated at 3.5 points. Drought resistance is above average. Trees are minimally susceptible to gummosis. In some years, fruits are affected by moniliosis at 0.2-0.3%. In some years, fruits are affected by plum fruit moth up to 1%.
Propagated by grafting onto seedling rootstocks of Krasnaya Skorospelka, Kuybyshevskaya Ternosilva, and Renclod Lia. On woolly cherry rootstocks, trees become dwarf, reaching up to 1.5 m in height. Requires fertile sites and elevated positions. Conduct standard shaping pruning in early stages. During full fruiting, inner branches are pruned.
Advantages of the variety: low tree height, high annual yield, and high-quality fruits.
Disadvantages of the variety: insufficiently large fruits that drop in dry years.
