Beet sugar variety SX1529 is a cold-resistant crop with high yield potential and sugar content up to 18%. Seeds of this variety germinate at temperatures from 4 to 5°C, and seedlings emerge at 8-9°C, allowing the plant to successfully withstand spring and autumn frosts. The root has an oval-conical shape, white color, and is buried in the soil approximately 85%, which contributes to its protection and preservation. The leaf rosette is medium-sized, dark green, and spreading, providing good photosynthetic nutrition for the plant. The variety is resistant to drought, cold, diseases, and bolting, and also has good storability, making it optimal for medium harvest periods. Due to its well-developed root system capable of absorbing moisture from depths of about 2.5 meters, sugar beet SX1529 effectively withstands water deficiency, especially during the intensive growth period of the root in July-August. At the same time, the plant is very demanding on water from the first days of life, and water deficit may lead to increased nitrogen content in the roots. The optimal temperature for growth and development of sugar beet is 20-22°C, although photosynthesis proceeds successfully even at temperatures above 40°C. During the pre-harvest autumn period, the crop can withstand frosts down to -5°C without harm to sugar accumulation, but lower temperatures may negatively affect this process. Thus, variety SX1529 combines high adaptability to climatic conditions, high yield, and excellent taste qualities, making it a profitable choice for cultivation in various regions.
