Winter rye "Odessa Multi-Year" is a valuable cereal plant widely used in agriculture as a green manure to restore and enhance soil fertility. Sown at the end of summer or beginning of autumn, ideally in the second or third decade of August, when the average daily temperature drops to 14-15 °C. Thanks to its frost resistance, rye successfully overwinters and quickly develops green mass in spring, which can already be used as green manure in May, improving soil structure and suppressing the growth of both annual and perennial weeds.
